Founding of OTYS

OTYS was founded in 2002 by Jorrit Blok. With knowledge of and experience in recruitment and contracting, schooling and training for recruitment and automation, he wanted to change, broaden and deepen recruitment. Besides, he knew that processes would be able to run a lot more efficient. And that internet would offer all possibilities to have access to information always and everywhere. This lead to the founding of OTYS. The best software for recruitment agencies available on the market. Based on advanced technology. For every recruiter.

OTYS had to meet up to four requirements so that every recruiter would want the software and could also afford it.

  • Access: Every recruiter must have access to the software via his or her desktop.
  • Price: Every recruiter should be able to purchase the software.
  • Imagination: The software must own all the features which recruiters can think of and be fast to implement.
  • Connectivity: Recruiters must have the possibility to exchange candidates, and the software has to correspond with existing or new systems of other parties.

2007: Five years OTYS

In 2007 a partnership is set up with Payroll Select who also operates on the market for personnel recruitment. With this cooperation OTYS can provide her clients with integration of a back office focused on payrolling of temporary employees, billing and debtor management. While Payroll Select can provide her clients with a complete OTYS platform.
In 2007 OTYS exists for five years and has more than 300 clients and thousands of users. Hundred thousand candidates use OTYS. OTYS has offices in Veenendaal (The Netherlands, headquarters), Prague, London and New York and is active in The Netherlands, Belgium, England and the United States.

Expansion of OTYS

OTYS not only enters the Dutch market, but also the Belgium market. In 2006 OTYS introduces the software in England and a bit later in the United States. In that same year, OTYS operates for recruitment agencies as for contracting agencies and executive search. And the first corporate accounts are applying! For example Audi.

Cooperations of OTYS

OTYS starts a cooperation with Q-Search, an organization where candidates can be shared in a network. Also, links are being made with Knollenstein Technologies for automatic multi-posting of vacancies on job board and with TextKernel for automatic CV extraction. With these links OTYS realizes the important condition “Connectivity”.

Development of OTYS

With great enthusiasm and belief the software is being developed in The Netherlands and Prague. The Netherlands is the first country where the software is going to be launched on the market. Despite of the economic situation after the attacks in 2001, recruiters are purchasing the software anyway. This because the software provides new possibilities and meets the needs of efficiency and cost control. When the economic climate improves the sales are increasing.

More technology and new partnerships

2008 is the year of innovation. OTYS comes up with the “Flex Manager”. It was the missing link between recruitment software and wage administration packs for temporary employment agencies. Also new partnerships are being established. Videoboard and WiQET integrate their products in OTYS and a big step is being made with launching the search- and matching technology from Actonomy. The OTYS application is getting smarter and more complete.

New identity of OTYS

On November 8th 2007 OTYS introduces “The Candidate Experience” during the second OTYS Event. In “The Candidate Experience” the candidate is the center of attention. Also during this event, OTYS introduces the completely new brand identity. Because OTYS has grown the past years from a technologic company with software solutions to a service provider in recruitment. This means that we have the technology, but also provide solutions. And that we want to share our expertise with clients with the help of consultancy.

The Recruitment Event

After the success of “The Candidate Experience” Event, OTYS decides to organize a similar event together with her partners but in multiple cities. Accessible for every recruiter, not only OTYS-clients. “The Recruitment Event” exists! In ten cities, with twelve partners and some strong speakers who will discuss current recruitment trends and developments.
